In the summer of 2001, Even before everything changed, I began writing a few essays related to current events, intending to post new ones online on a regular basis, but life has a way of overtaking even the best of intentions. So, although I posted the few essays you see below on my other domain LGrossman.com under the name The Ordinary Potato, I didn't continue the project. Before that I had written a fairly regular essays relating to computers and the online world going back to 1992. They are collected in The ModemJunkie's Archive.
It seems as though as a result of the overwheleming events of that year and the ones to follow to I had lost my tongue and I stopped writing. Since then so much has changed. Life is very good.
This election season seems to stimulate somthing like thought, and I am reading more, constantly bombarded by news, peudo-news and inane ideas. And I am continuously engaged in wonderful conversation, stimulating more thought (sometimes) clarifying my thinking. So, I have bought the domain name OrdinaryPotato.com and with this small beginning, I am returning to the screen. I have not yet decided whether this will be a blog (a horrible term, about which more in another installment). I don't promise yet to appear daily and so now I have begun a new blog, Ordinary Potato. Come visit some time and add your thoughts to the discussion.
Boker Tov, Chaya Ruth, and I know where you are.
